727594 2008-12-11 08:55:00 Im actually quite pleasantly surprised at how decent peoples home connections are, in relation to VoIP Usability (Which was part of the reason why this all began).

I was under the impression the majority of people / connections would have major issues with Jitter / Latency / Speeds, but it doesnt really appear that way... I really need to test uploads next

727595 2008-12-11 08:59:00 good experiment :) GameJunkie (72)
727596 2008-12-11 09:11:00 Yeah I figured "Why not?" :D

Interesting to learn about it, see peoples speeds, find out a bit more about the different ISP's and their quality ... perhaps learn a little more about peak / off-peak times ... :)

Hope that FFBM dont see this as an abuse of power as a mod or anything .. I woulda asked even if I was a regular "user" :)

727597 2008-12-11 11:07:00 ok so this is my home connection, adsl2+ with orcon in auckland. usual speed test shows about 9000mbps down 800-900 up.

i guess to test upload you need some way to send stuff to one of those servers but no idea how :D

727598 2008-12-11 11:10:00 Wow the difference with Orcons ADSL2+ Network is definitely noticable!

Im trying to find the "Areas we've got covered with our Orcon+ Network" map on their website but cant :(
