Read the thread I've made regarding my relationship with ihug: pressf1.co.nz Sure, mine was an old plan, but considering they'd do this.....think again. iHug = Vodafone = Worst Customer service in the world. I have found UK owned companies have terrible service when compared to NZ owned businesses |

| 519145 | 2007-03-06 00:00:00 | Seriously, Ive had no issues.. Dont ring the Helpdesk, thats just asking for troubles... Although like 6 years back when I was on Dial-Up they helped me through some 3 hours of phone calls to get my dial-up issues resolved. Im loving their Broadband3 plan, its simply great, Im getting brilliant international speeds and couldnt be happier! Love the way they have the cap setup, its so great :D |

| 519146 | 2007-03-06 09:13:00 | I'm on the orbit flat rate. As people have pointed out, where you live seems to have a huge bearing on quality rather than the provider itself. Anyways, since whoosh took over quicksilver the speeds seem to have gotten worse. One may not have caused the other of course - maybe just more line clog over time in my area. However some days it's bad enough to really piss me off - I pay $50/month for an intermittant connection (never mind slow, zero, nada) at peak evening times. I haven't bothered ringing the helpline when this has happened, didn't see any point going through the rigmarole of them telling me to check if the router's plugged in etc. The quicksilver helpdesk did used to be very useful on other occasions I used it before whoosh took over, dunno about now. |

The further you are from the exchange the slower speeds you're going to get, as well as lower-priority on the traffic from what I understand :-( |
