520323 2007-01-30 00:44:00 The man should go postal, Get in there face, Scream at em, "WE KNOW THE (&*&(*&^&(* TRANS-TASMAN (^^&%&*^&^^&* CABLE IS PAID OFF YOU THEIVING #$@@@##, LOWER THE !@#!#$%^% PRICES" and then follow it up with a few headbutts. Metla (12)

You mean go Mental ! ?

That would be nice, but I can't see it happening. An interviewer should retain a certain amount of decorum

But I do hope he asks her directly what is causing these problems ?
Is is the Pacifc Cable
Their network backbone
The system they are using eg ADSL not ADSL2 or VDSL
Their exchange equipment

And then what are they doing to aleviate them.

And when will any improvements kick in ?

And how much has Telecom invested in the network over the years on a year by year basis and what are they planning to invest in the next few years on a year by year basis.

And of course John should keep the questions fairly non-technical as it is a broadbased program !

But I do like to see Theresa squirm

520325 2007-01-30 04:22:00 It's no worse than Australia's or the UKs.

It's much worse - well, for Australia at least, don't know about the UK.

At least Australia can get ADSL2+ for relatively good prices(compared to us), I think I remember reading TPG's site and seeing one of their plans, it was something like 24mbit down, 2mbit up, 100gb data transfer for $120.

Their infrastructure is better too.

Good questions, Digby.

I hope you've sent them to TV3.

520327 2007-01-30 06:04:00 Crap questions, they would get fluff as response.

.....like just about all questions, In fact the entire process of interviewing them is utterly worthless, They should get em in and just smack talk to them, Then do scathing editorials on them.

We already know the facts, and the nature of Telecom, Who cares if one of their honchos once again thinks we are so stupid as to suck on their spin?

520328 2007-01-30 06:16:00 The programme just started - with a selection of ass awards. They're picking on Xtra's broadband. Why the heck pick on Xtra? Seems like some serious bias to me. :groan:

A side note - glad they pointed out the best ass scam award goes to the outfit who run the text 8555 ads.

520329 2007-01-30 06:38:00 The Consumer Supreme "I really don't give an ass" Award
Supreme award!
And the Complete Ass goes to ... Telecom's Xtra Broadband!
Telecom Xtra and other broadband providers blame internet traffic, content-heavy websites, distance from the exchange, information superhighway road hogs, and each other. We're done with the finger pointing. We just want it fixed.

Thats why.

As for Ms Telecom Spokesperson: why bother? Same old, same old.
And make out its a peak traffic thing. No, sorry my broadband is crap 24hrs of the day along with everyone else in this town.

520330 2007-01-30 06:41:00 it easy to tell its BS, by body language, and words used. Chrisn (9819)
520331 2007-01-30 06:51:00 Crapola, Though amazed they followed the utter waste of time broadband item with the Fluff piece on Vista they promoted as hard-hitting and looking beyond the hype.

Waste of a half hour I could have better spent picking fluff out of my belly button.(600 000 vista capable PC's already sold in NZ my arse, That guy needed a smack for that dribble)

And the other day I saw a kiwi lad whose job title was MS director of Innovation, What a load of choad, MS aren't innovative in the slightest, and even if they were that would still be a job title from stroke it land. He must get paid for measuring his elbow.

Think Im going to change my job title to Director of Results and cool stuff.
