| 727481 | 2008-12-10 20:52:00 | I wonder if anyone is having, or has had, the same problem I'm experiencing. I've installed the latest version of wordpress on a site that I hope to get up and running. I'm having trouble uploading images. When I check the "wp-contents/uploads.." folder, using Filezilla, they're there, or at least by name? But they won't show in any posts I try to set up. On a web site I manage for a local organisation. I use an earlier version of wordpress (ver. 2.3.3) and while the image upload process, is somewhat more convoluted than the latest version promises to be, at least it works. I have the local organisations wordpress in it's own folder. However I installed the wordpress for myself in root, so it would go straight there from the address, without always having to add /wordpress. Anyone got any ideas? Short of me having to go back to the older version. |

It has not been an uncommon problem with the later wordpress's. I was lucky, as it just took a bit of tweaking with settings, miscellaneous. There are some instances where files have to be replaced, permissions altered and all that complicated unix type stuff. |
