520463 2007-01-29 21:51:00 Spent the past hour scanning through PCW. First thing I noticed was the attachment. PC world's POWER guide to vista.
POWER guide??? Whats the diff between an ordinary guide and a power guide? Sounds impressive, but as meaningless as the term power user. I picture a poweruser as someone with three keyboards. One for each hand and one for his nose.

The second thing I noticed was two identical cd"s. FREE 60 day trial of OFFICE 2007. Sounds interesting. Or it would be if I had any earthly use for it. But why 2 copies. Perhaps someone thought I was a power user.

I might see if I can download OUTLOOK, but I fully expect I will have to d/l the whole lot just to get outlook.

Wonder if there's any way to override the 60 day limit. Might be interesting to have a play with it and see.

I have office 2000 (or thereabouts) and all that I ever use is Word. And still haven't worked out how to use that properly.

520464 2007-01-29 22:08:00 My PC World had only one CD, Jack, so you've seemingly been singled out for special treatment.
(Well, I hope so, for the publisher's sake. Could be expensive if everyone got two..?)

I already have Office 2003 & like you, use only Word occasionally.
Also like you, not to its full extent. Saving that learning curve for "some day."

520465 2007-01-29 23:55:00 If you want to have a play with 2007, install Virtual Server 2005 (it's free, I think) and then install the copy of Office 2007 there - then there will be no interference with your existing setup... johcar (6283)

So do V and many other so called energy drinks but people still drink an astonishing amount and really Dr. Pepper's isn't that bad.
