| 728849 | 2008-12-14 01:55:00 | Had friends comp here the other night running XP home would not boot . It would get as far as the screen with the bar bouncing sideways . Fixed it with recovery console and fix mbr . It booted fine for me at least 6-8 times before I sent it back on Friday night . Get a call today it's doing it again and will be dropped off later . I don't know whats corrupting the mbr again but would a repair install be ok or should I recomend re installing XP? If I do a repair install I will back up the data first anyway but would I need to re install all the programs or would they be kept by the repair? Thanks |
