728498 2008-12-13 04:50:00 I have Win XP Pro and when I close IE 7 down I get this message.

iexplore.exe application error
The instruction at "0x051d8055" referenced memory at "0x02fa7d58" The memory could not be written.
Click on OK to terminate the program.

What does this mean? Is it ok to carry on without fixing this minor glitch?
Everything else seems to work ok.

TIA

728499 2008-12-13 04:55:00 Could be an addon thats crashing it.

Or malware / a toolbar thats doing it

728500 2008-12-13 04:59:00 To check if its an add on, click start/All Programs/ Accessories/System tools/Internet Explorer ( no Add ons) - IE will Open - close it as normal - see if the error message appears. wainuitech (129)
728501 2008-12-13 16:50:00 I know a previous version of IE7Pro used to crash IE 7.

If this is installed, and its old, uninstall it / update it

Well it does here X2 - I used to use FF all the time - Now I use IE7 Pro more and more - FF has started slowing right down, sites not loading and generally being a pain in the Butt (ever since their last update). + ever since I changed to this New 22" wide screen web sites in FF look crap - IE looks lots better, and opens pages at least twice as fast as FF - tried changing FF's default setting - and only makes it worse.
