Hey, Hitech
Aren't you the guy who said on Monday he'd be buying it on Wednesday?

I thought you'd be telling us all how great it is by now.

521591 2007-02-01 07:10:00 I saw it was available in USA so ordered it at a cost of NZ $231.28 ,only to find that it wasn't available direct outside USA. Cicero (40)
521592 2007-02-01 07:13:00 I'm almost being deafened by people saying how fantastic it is.........<crickets> winmacguy (3367)

521594 2007-02-01 07:42:00 I've installed it but.... yes I'm having driver problems.

It wont allow me to load my Canon MP170 printer drivers-contact Canon it says. Also my Canon Digital Camera drivers - no!

It wont let me load the Pioneer DVD and its Ulead programs.

I'm having problems setting up Jetstream but I think that's because I had forgotten the niceties of the POP3.xtra.co.nz and SMTP.xtra.co.nz, but I was able to go in through the Internet to Xtra and use Webmail.

I couple of times when restarting in Vista the partition was obviously duffed as it needed to test it and then started to delete files but it was too fast to read. When into the system, everything seemed OK -let's now wait and see. I think it is going to be trial and error and fingers crossed for a while.

Another thing, I could not fully drag and drop from c:\WinXP to g:\Vista.

Luckily I kept my XP installation having loaded Vista as a clean install on a separate drive so will have to rely on it while Vista sorts its self out.

521595 2007-02-01 07:43:00 Yes Laura i am and i have bought it but its in the post and i wont get it until tomorrow or saturday.
I'll let you know once ive got it and installed it.
Seems to me a lot of people love bagging something before they've tried it, have you lot ever heard of dont judge a book by its cover.

521596 2007-02-01 07:56:00 It refused to install on a HDD with *only* 20GB of space. What kind of an OS takes 20GB just to install?

Trying again on a 40GB drive, I don't really like it - nothing new and missing a lot of stuff I tend to use a lot.

I wasn't bagging Vista, Hitech.

I was kidding you.
