2007-02-02 01:33:00 | No. Wouldn't know how that feels, coz I wouldn't spend $150 on a pair of jeans...for anyone. | allblack (6574) | |
2007-02-02 01:51:00 | Hi Sweep. I'm not ashamed of who I am. In fact I'm bloody proud of what I've achieved as a Dad, and frankly I consider myself a fairly decent Kiwi bloke. With all the attributes and failings that come from being a typical Kiwi male..... But there was little satisfaction after all that thought to end up by a cheap pair of jeans from the shop I hate with a vengeance. But, I learned. And my little girl didn't care. So maybe I did not communicate correctly. Possibly I misunderstood you. <little satisfaction.> What would have satisfied you? <cheap> Cheap to me is relative. Some person paid $2,000,000 for a horse at auction a few days ago. Some people pay for artworks far more than that. So if I get a $75 fine for exceeding a speed limit by a few Kmh then Bill Gates does exactly the same and gets the same fine how much would you think he would notice? <hate> Not a word I like. I can use "dislike" or even "not happy" <vengeance> So are going to go to the The Warehouse (all branches) and do your worst? Kiwi males (in my opinion) have been done over by some females. We are ALL abusers of Children and Females according to news media. What I would like is JUSTICE and I can't see that that would happen before I die. Probably I should start a new thread.

2007-02-02 02:04:00 | <little satisfaction.> What would have satisfied you? ...maybe I worded that badly. I was disappointed in myself for ending up with a pair of cheap jeans. But as I said, I learned from the experience and worried about something unnecessarily. <hate> Not a word I like. I can use "dislike" or even "not happy" .....that's nice. "Hate" works for me. Though it's a very negative emotion without any future, so I avoid it where I can. <vengeance> So are going to go to the The Warehouse (all branches) and do your worst? Huh? You mean go "postal"? Hahaha.....oh dear. Kiwi males (in my opinion) have been done over by some females. We are ALL abusers of Children and Females according to news media. ...no argument there. Was listening to talkback radio last weekend about male teachers, and the lack-of, especially in the field of Early Childhood Education. There were some very sad stats, and some interesting points made about young males in NZ society today, and the lack of males in education, starting from ECE and working up. I can't remember all the points raised, but there was an interesting one about the number of young males who come from broken families...raised by a female.....educated by a female...and the lack of "man-stuff" in their lives as they grow up. More prominent in low socio-economic areas. But maybe that's another thread.... The only place you'll see justice in this country is by re-reading your post.

Anyhow, I never knew shopping at the Warehouse could be so deep...Though I buy my clothes there, In fact if I wasn't naked right at this point in time I would probally be wearing a pair my bling bling warehouse trackpants. |

2007-02-03 05:06:00 | Hahaha.......OK. Maybe an out-dated prejudice. I'm currently wearing a nice tee-shirt I got given from TW....and it's always my first stop for cheap DVD's.....

2007-02-03 11:53:00 | Hmmm Flubber "does not like wool jerseys or carpet..." How well do you get on with the parents of this 9 year-old? Do you wish to remain friends? (Reminds me of the Christmas I dissuaded Mr Laura from giving a toy which emitted an ear-splitting siren - choice of fire, police or ambulance. We kept it ourselves for visiting kids. Amazing how soon he had hidden it...) If I am giving a present to a kid who's parent gets on my nerves, I always give something noisy like a drum
