522169 2007-02-03 09:30:00 I think this is where Speedy would come in handy since I am not much of a hardware guy. winmacguy (3367)
522170 2007-02-03 09:35:00 DDR400 will be the safest (and probally cheapest bet) but first...what CPU are you running? Metla (12)
522171 2007-02-03 09:53:00 Alright, Dont answer my question then, Ill help you anyway.

Premier Elements requires a cpu capable of SSE2, and as far as I know (I dont know everything) no Socket A cpu can do this, The first AMD cpu capable of SSE2 was the Athlon 64 series, Seeing as your running a SKT A board you are crap out of luck.

Feel free to thankl me for saving you from wasting $120 bucks.

522172 2007-02-03 10:25:00 If pine-o-clean is using an Intel chip instead of an AMD chip that shouldn't be an issue since he is looking at DV editing rather than gaming. winmacguy (3367)
522173 2007-02-03 10:31:00 Intel do not make SKT A cpu's..he is running a SKT A motherboard, Quit thinking you know jack because you looked up SSE2 in google, Its not helpful.

You dont make yourself look smart by saying dumb things.

522174 2007-02-03 10:38:00 I'll remember that next time thanks metla. I guess that is what happens when you assume things. I guess I am only human metla. winmacguy (3367)

Ya...thanks. I'm running a Sempron 2200+. So I guess that doesn't cut the mustard huh.
