| 729614 | 2008-12-16 02:03:00 | Hi all If you go here (www.warehousestationery.co.nz _Re459c;sid=1_m-g7jNC_nV7fGK3tqej6lhflNjhBFnCv4=?CategoryName=prom otions) and click on the link for the terms and conditions, in the first Paragraph it will give you a .doc file, unfortunatly I seem to be unable to read this file, I have tried in office 2003 and openoffice, but it comes uo as gibberish in both, anyone lse out there have any tips for making these readable? |

| 729619 | 2008-12-16 04:26:00 | Hi Scouse, I already had that installed, the problem was that the file was saved in office 2007 format (.docx) but had a .doc extension, so whenever i tried to open it word kept trying to open it as a word document (97-2003 .doc) format, all i had to do was change the file extension to .docx and it opened fine in office 2003 (with the compatibility pack). It seems a bit odd as i have office 2007 on another machine and when I save as a 2003 compatible file, it is compatible, i am guessing that some idiot at the warehouse stationary thought by changing the file extension (rather than saving as 97-2003 version) from .docx to .doc it would change the file format to be compatible. |
