729455 2008-12-15 23:25:00 Just recieved a warning box from Avast sayingit had detects a rootkit in the form of ils.dll. It asks if you want to delete the file. DON't delete it, as it is a windows system file, and AVast has incorrectly detected it as a virus. More info can be found at www.dslreports.com robbyp (2751)

729459 2008-12-16 00:03:00 Nothing is perfect, and most AV programs will give you false +'s

Avast Home is free as well

Check the Avast forum and see if they know about it. Or post a thread telling them about it. Thats the only way its going to get fixed

As soon as someone tells them its usually fixed in the next update

Looks like ILS.DLL belongs to Netmeeting, which is useless and doesnt work anyway. So, it wouldnt hurt if you did delete it

I removed that with Nlite, so at the mo it's not installed

729460 2008-12-16 00:07:00 Another reason to stay with AVG

AVG was too slow and bloated, hence i moved to avast which performs better. Avast has fixed it and discussed at forum.avast.com 3
