This probably shows that we are currently well served with cheap telephone services in NZ, and that there won't be enough profit to setup in such a small spread out market like NZ.

Or maybe because the nz network, is to crap to deal with it. I have stopped trying to use it for calls over to the uk. one the sound quality is not that good, and I am on a decent speed and two i don't want to use up my stupid monthly cap.

523615 2007-02-08 00:58:00 Why use skype for 2c Euro (most places) a minute when you can get phonecards that is around NZ$ 4c or lesser, doesn't need to use up your GBs either.

I guess free local dialling in NZ does make it a bit harder for the incumbent.... I would think local dialling would be at least half of all the national calls a person makes... On that line I have no idea why a person would want VOIP with Slingshot when you can get free local dialling with Xnet and if you are a Xnet BB client they don't even cost your MBs or GBs...

523616 2007-02-08 01:02:00 just went back to using my $3.50 for 2 hours with xnet, did try and use the video one as well, no hope in hell of that working over here, unless you can cope with a delay in picture of about 2 days:p mode3 (6544)
523617 2007-02-08 01:09:00 I use voip (pc to phone) for free, that's all I can say. msnforum (11610)
