| 729676 | 2008-12-21 21:39:00 | Replace it Replace it Hi Speedy (and any others who are following this thread) I think I'm going to knock this one on the head/give it away/kick it into touch. SP SP 3 is over 300 megs and the best I can normally manage on a download is usually about 28-30 kb?sec so it will take a while (I use Firefox 2.0.0.20 with Falshgot under Flashget so any advice on that scenario would be really appreciated!!) plus my so called broadband is on a data cap which I don't want to go over. Plus the screen has started breaking up/shimmering - it's not the video/graphics card - that packed up ages ago and I've been running on the generic video drivers ever since (graphics integrated with the mother board so a whole new MthrBrd needed to sort it out). The optical drive is stuffed as well. I'm getting a new notebook for Christmas (shh!! it's a seceret - even my wife doesn't know and she's getting it for me!) so I've backed up all my data and will be delving into the mysteries of Vista etc (about time to!).
