Bound to be more... One I can't seem to remember as was to long ago and that was back in the day before Flat rate dial up was out, Payed per Meg.

I'm with Xnet now and have no plans in changing for a good while yet.

523084 2007-02-06 19:02:00 Ihug, had a recent upgrade to data cap. The only ISP I've been with. pcuser42 (130)
523085 2007-02-06 19:19:00 Just about all of them.

None are faster than any other. They all offer the same plans under different names and their prices are more or less identical. Though they all try to show that "theirs" are faster and cheaper.

The only bargains to be had, if you want them, are free modems/routers and no joining or churn fees.

Service?? How can you get help or service from someoe who knows less than you do?

523086 2007-02-06 20:11:00 Ha! I have stayed with the same ISP, but the ISPs have changed around me!

I was originally with Planet(?), then they morphed into Cyberxpress, then into Paradise where I still am. Though Paradise is now owned by TelstraClear.

I guess I have been on the net for ?10 years? (my first modem was a blazing 14.4K so that may track down when I first signed up...) and haven't changed ISPs once - they have changed me...

523090 2007-02-07 09:08:00 Heh, I remember Zfree and the like, getting kicked at least 10 times a night. Those were the (not so good) days. pine-o-cleen (2955)

Meh, I remember being on Freenet. I couldnt even connect. Not even after 20 retries.
Heck when PCW did a user poll rating free net services, my reply on freenet (it was that bad) almost got into the magazine. If only I checked my emails as often back then.
