Probably would prefer either of the bottom two as they'd be brand spanking new but would really appreciate the advice.

Thanks guys.

Any of those are fine. The DI-524 UP is good, I own one. That also has the capability to share a USB printer on the network. I'd probably stay away from the DSE branded stuff.

These (www.qmb.co.nz) seem to be a popular choice on the forum at the moment.

Thats also very good.

729551 2008-12-16 02:30:00 The scorch guys suggested going to a PC shop and asking for a non-adsl router .

Modems, in today's venacular are designed to support a connection between your PC and the internet .

Routers are intelligent devices able to work with several devices on a network, to "route" information to each device .

Most ADSL modems these days are routers as well .

They are telling you to get a wireless router as opposed to a combo device because you already have the modem . You could buy a wireless router/modem and sell the current one, but why would you?

729554 2008-12-16 04:08:00 The Asus WL520GC is good but for the same price(don't know why!) you get the WL520GU which has a USB port allowing you to hook up your printer/HDD for sharing on your network
