That way (I hope) they'll realise their stupidity. telecom already know they're stupid. But being stupid is making them alot of mulah and consequently forcing sub-par internet down the throats of NZ. |

| 522533 | 2007-02-04 21:31:00 | Not too stupid... too smart. Fixing it costs money, money that was happily handed over by their subscribers in good ol' NZ for a service they never really got... money that is better used to: a) pay executives exorbitant salaries and bonuses b) pay shareholders dividends c) buy overseas telecoms companies Standard business practice... why anyone is shocked or surprised is beyond me.Spot on! Well said! |

| 522537 | 2007-02-05 17:40:00 | What also annoys me is that all the other ISP's advertise what they can't supply. Looks like they read the telecom ads. and advertise the same. Surely they know by now it's bull****. And they all have the perfect excuse. "As fast as your line will take". Then there's the "up to 8 mbts a minute" (or whatever). Everyone, including Telecom and all ISP's, know that anyone who gets more than 3 is plain lucky. I notice that "Consumer" has very little to say on the subject too.Strage for "The peoples watchdog" to be so quiet. Strange but true. I am quite happy with my 3000kbps speed. BUT I read the adverts so I want what they say they will give me. If they advertised only what they can give I am sure most of us would be satisfied. |
