| 730848 | 2008-12-18 23:11:00 | Currently I use World Exchange for my Broadband . I cant say that I am overjoyed with speed . my highest number has been 74 Kb/sec and the lowest has been 4Kb/sec. Definately not earth shattering especially as they state, Max speed as high as your line allows. I must be on a fishing line or they utilise neighbours clothes line on route from the exchange. Have I queried them, I have lost count. I have cleaned my computer more times than the local Laundry. Installed a splitter at POE. Run a seperate line of Cat 6 to the Router ( Dynalink 1335 ) Installed the latest firmware in same. No great changes noticed. On a point of note I do have an older AMD XP2100 system, this I am told could be TOO old said World EXCHANGE. My faith in ISP's is very low on the advice scale. As a long overdue resolution, I am tempted to do a total upgrade on my old faithfull ( computer ) as well as ISP. I would really welcome recommendations on either subject. Thanks to all |

Xnet is the first but, to be fair, Xnet should be pretty fast to the Auckland server. Do a speedtest to Auckland during the day. Is it still very low? If so, it seems that you have a connection problem somewhere that probably is not Xnet's fault. |

When do they think the internet was invented, everyones computer was "too old" back then . Is this speed all the time or certain times of day or night? Lately only or its always this bad? How far are you from the exchange? |

| 730853 | 2008-12-19 03:27:00 | Read my link, it is Xnets fault / prob I did but I don't need to read your link as I have had experience with Xnet as well. I never had bad speed on national bandwidth, e.g. to Auckland, which is why I suggested he report on that link. |
