| 730076 | 2008-12-17 06:45:00 | Hi all, I'm just creating a new thread cause the previous one seems to be a bit messy. The problem is linked to the "hardware/software problem?" thread. Anyway a blue screen error message always appears, esp just after startup. The error message: "A problem has been detected & Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your com. The problem seems to be this file - win32k.sys PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA ***win32k.sys - Address BF81FAFO base at BF800000, datestamp 48ce4da7" Will reformatting help? |

| 730077 | 2008-12-17 06:51:00 | Is windows up to date?? Can you still get into windows?? If you can use malwarebytes below, instead of PC tools whatever it is, update it then scan. If it reboots in normal windows. Boot into safe mode / networking then do it And post a hijackthis log. I cant see one in the other thread |

And a slight knock on the pc casing can cause the blue screen to appear also.
