525992 2007-02-19 23:01:00 CMYK - cyan magenta yellow black - are the four colours all other colours are made from in the printing process. The magazine is made entirely of those four inks. Look at any mag under an eyegalss and you'll see the individual colour dots.

When you use a printer that has a "colour" cartridge, or a "tri-colour" cartridge, it simply means that inside that one cartridge are 3 different inks -cyan magenta and yellow. These are the base colours needed to reproduce all others, but you get a better result when you add black (proveds better contrast) and then an even better result when you add aditional colours like "light cyan" or "light magenta" which help create a better rnage of colours when doing photo prints. Hence more expensive photoprinters are 6 or even 8 colours and some very expensive ones even add in additonal types of black to better create dynamic rnage in the greys.

525993 2007-02-19 23:03:00 I have the ip4300 Canon, when I took it in for a refill, which has been my wont with previous HP machine, they advised at that stage they were unable to refill for technical reasons, but anticipated breaking the code in the near future. Cicero (40)
