525739 2007-02-19 23:51:00 I just posted it to bite back at xtra im so peed off with the speed they say they offer but dont, so i got frustrated and thought bugger it i'll paste soemthing from the competition being telstra. I have a real axe to grind with xtra and their poor service its high time they stood up to the public and said ok our speeds are slow and we are are going to drop the price YEAH RIGHT.
We've been ripped off for to long arent you guys annoyed at paying xtra for a rubbish service you pay top dollar for, I know i am. Wheres David Russell when you need him.

I could say the same thing about telstras customer service, and vodafones rip off prices for cell phone calls to a 027 number. At least with telecom you can get through to a real peron, and they do reply to emails.

525740 2007-02-19 23:57:00 Well, I guess we can all agree with one part of Hitech's post...

I have a real axe to grind with Xtra.

Hitech is not the only one who has a axe to grind with Xtra, I think most Go Large users have a axe to grind with Xtra & are just as frustrated as Hitech.

Nope. That's why I voted with my feet and changed to Xnet. Don't tell me your eyes grew big with the Go Large plan and you signed up for a 12 month term or something.

That would have been a silly move IMO.

525744 2007-02-20 00:38:00 Personally I've been reasonably happy with my Xtra broadband service. It ain't perfect, nothing is, but when I've had a problem they're onto it, and my most recent email queries were answered within hours, not days. They're definitly my preferred supplier and I recommend them to any of my customers who have issues with other providers. Greg (193)
525745 2007-02-20 00:43:00 You miss the point, i dont know what the problem is but if they work for telecom in that area and they call themselves a telecom technician they should know what the problem is, clearly the xtra ordinariesare very ordinary and know nothing. Just like the faster cheaper broadband deal the speed is not at all any faster as you will have seen by many threads on here and telecom say "Oh we dont know what the problem is and they call themselves technicians YEAH RIght.

Tui billboard TELECOM HAS TECHNICIANS" YEAH RIGHT.

Excuse me, how old are you!. Fault diagnosis's can be complex and hard to track down. They may also be un-regular and hard to duplicate.

It is also damn near impossible to know everything about PC's.

I think its best that they have acknowledged that there was an issue and were unable to trace cause rather than spout some dribble such as you have just done.

Never a truer word said, Sol the only thing that computer tech's know for certain is tomorrow is another day with new challenges.

I find it very satisfing when I walk away and the client is happy with the outcome, but the path to that outcome may have many twists and turns.

525747 2007-02-20 18:20:00 I think I've seen somewhere else that the Wireless part of that service was supplied by BCL (or whoever they are called now) so maybe Telecom didn't have a clue what was wrong. PaulD (232)
