| 731534 | 2008-12-21 21:13:00 | Hi, I have a SMC ADSL2 Barricade N Wireless modem/router. I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 notebook using Vista that connects wirelessly to it. Well it did until this morning when it said "A network security key is required to connect...". I did this but it still did not connect. When I checked the properties of the Wireless id and tried to add the security key there, I got the following error message: "Windows has encountered an error saving the wireless profile. Specific error : The service has not been started." Which service should I restart and is this problem related to the latest Microsoft patch which I downloaded yesterday" Thanks  |
