| 731354 | 2008-12-21 03:28:00 | Hi, someone else's PC . I took out all the drives, the RAM and all the cards - the video card is builtin . Still no go . I just get a blank screen . The CPU fan is going . What is left on the machine now is motherboard, CPU, the fan and the PSU . Could I take out the CPU and turn it on - is it ok doing this? Then I can rule out the CPU . Given the CPU fan is going and the DVD drive when connected can eject . So could I rule out the PSU  Before all this, I uninstalled media player 11 and took uninstalled the wifi card (software and hardware) . Then I pull out the SATA HDD and it worked, plugged it back and it worked . Then I turned it off and put back the tv card and now it is not working anymore . I have taken out all the aparts as above and still no go . . . . |

| 731360 | 2008-12-21 04:22:00 | This is difficult .. I don't have another socket 754 CPU or a 754 motherboard. If this makes me getting my PC a bit earlier .. I would have access to a new PSU not the CPU or motherboard. Another issue I took the CPU out with the CPU fan .. now the CPU is glued onto it .. how the heck do I align the pins :D I dunno if the PSU is working or not .. I mean the DVD drive opens and closes. The CPU fan goes .. |

Sorry for the questions but it now appears that you may have serious problems after doing all this on someone elses PC. |

Then it was working all grand before I added the tv card back in ... Up to now? Sitting down bumming around. Another screen? We don't have a 2nd monitor. I have a laptop and he has a PC. The screen is working fine thou I woudl think. The computer doesn't even spin the HDD up when its connected, it doesn't even beep. RAM? Before I took the RAM out .. it was the same as now. Blank black screen and no noises, no beeps. CPU fan just whirls and whirls. Before all before when it was working and getting into windows - yeah beeps and goes in :D |

| 731363 | 2008-12-21 06:28:00 | Normally you would get one beep. When you took the ram out you should have got more than one. How do you know that the screen works? Have you a VGA connector on your laptop? |
