| 527183 | 2007-02-23 23:05:00 | Actually the latest OpenSuSE 10.2 _could_ become quite a threat... Aside from the fact it uses RPMs and is a real ***** to update certain software... or the built-in MP3 support is limited to RealPlayer (I updated xine-lib and then amaroK was fine!), its actually a damn fine OS! Im not just saying that as a linux user, because until a workmate who'd never used Linux before bought it in to try on his new laptop, I thought Id never touch SuSE again... but he loved it, gave it to a few other workmates who've never used linux and they all love it... So I thought I'd give it a shot, and its actually pretty cool! Especially 64-bit version :D Still, I can just imagine the nightmare for PR that Mr Ballmer is :P |

I thought MS had learnt that attacking Linux was doing more harm to them than good. Actually Suse is not under threat because of the deal with Novel it is the other distros he is attacking. |
