Last night I booked the cricket on Prime @ 11.30. I'm not an avid sports fan so I don't subscribe to Sky Sports. Come 11.30 the Sky box dutifully switched over to Prime, showed the end of Letterman (Yawn) then announced "we are now switching over to the Fox Network", no cricket, no explanation no nuffink GRRRRRRRRRR

526591 2007-02-20 22:37:00 At least your Sky decoder changes to the booked channel. Mine changes to the booked channel, stays there for about 3 seconds, then changes to channel 0. It will do this randomly, but roughly once every 7 or 8 bookings. :badpc: Miami Steve (2128)
526592 2007-02-21 00:16:00 Yes, mine has that same annoying "feature". I wish it had done that last night at least you can believe the preview channel which is more than I can say for Fox News. :yuck:
Did anyone else see the cricket listed at 11.30 last night? or should I start looking at retirement homes?

526593 2007-02-21 00:21:00 Yes, mine has that same annoying "feature".

Not what I wanted to hear. I was planning on getting Sky to replace the decoder in the next week or two - I was trying to arrange for a few appliance repairs to happen on the same day to make it worth my while taking a day off work. If this is a common problem, maybe it's not worth it.

Sorry I can't help with the cricket.

526594 2007-02-21 00:22:00 Didn't see it listed last night. But I remember seeing it listed at 10.50pm on Prime on Sunday night. Certainly wasn't in the listings for Prime in our local paper yesterday. Tukapa (62)
526595 2007-02-21 00:28:00 Something has just occurred to me. Quite often, when checking the listings on the EPG, the listings for Prime appear to be down. In the last couple of days (it may even have been last night) while scrolling through the channel synopses, I noticed that the program on Prime was one that had actually finished a couple of hours earlier. For example, I was looking at 8:00pm and the synopsis for the program on Prime was a program that was on between 2:00pm and 4:00pm - also the right arrow would not function to allow you to see the synopsis of the next program. I suspect that this is the phenomenon that you encountered, and you have inadvertently booked a program that had already finished. :waughh: Miami Steve (2128)
526596 2007-02-21 00:32:00 I checked the primeTV listing on sunday online and it did have the cricket highlights listed for about 10 or 11pm.
Thankfully that meant we went to our local and watched it there. What an amazing game!!!

526597 2007-02-21 00:50:00 You maybe right Steve. One other thing I've noticed recently is the time shown in the top bar of the EPG was an hour out. All this does not convince me to shell out $600.00 for MySky.
And yes Han Sundays game was phenomenal and from what I caught on 3News Tuesdays was even more spectacular. I actually feel sorry for the Aussies, who would have thought the Black Caps had it in them?

526598 2007-02-21 04:03:00 I'm pretty sure I saw a brief message flash up along the bottom of the screen during Letterman saying that the cricket highlights will be on tonight at 11pm. CYaBro (73)
526599 2007-02-21 07:58:00 Did anyone record it? can you send me the file?:D
Yeah, maybe one day we'll be able to do that. Not quite there yet eh.
