com is running ok still. I had one recurrence of the explore.exe and Dr Watson episode. Jammed the com & I had to shut down using the power button. Restart went without any hitch.
Below is a list of the logs in Event Viewer relating to the above.
I am wondering what the driver that got snapped trying to corrupt the system was/is.
Perhaps its the LogMeIn mentioned below, could be any one of numerous...

I am going to reinstall MS Office. Will read the Install instructions first and get it in the right order. This might help me..office.microsoft.com

If you cant find uninstall, DL and install, then uninstall....
