526600 2007-02-21 08:11:00 At least your Sky decoder changes to the booked channel. Mine changes to the booked channel, stays there for about 3 seconds, then changes to channel 0. It will do this randomly, but roughly once every 7 or 8 bookings. :badpc:

Ahhh. Have had the same problem on Sunday mornings when @ 7.30 it switches to Jag. . Is it one of those new small silver colored ones?? I have taken to powering it off at the mains and then booking the program. Seems to have worked last weekend..

No, it's an old black one - had it for years .

Interestingly, it has another "feature" whereby it will sometimes block movies that are rated 18, despite the options being set to allow all levels to be viewed .

526602 2007-02-21 23:38:00 Yeah. The parental control was screwed on the old box, I've not had that problem with the new one. JackStraw (6573)
526603 2007-02-22 01:49:00 Have the same problem with the Sky decoder switching to the Preview channel after switching to the booked channel. Call me parainoid but it semed to start happening just after they introduced My Sky. Reckon it is their way to get people to buy My Sky. As to the parental control on restricted movies, I queried with Sky and was told that despite deleting all controls if the restricted movie is shown before 8.30pm at night ("adult viewing") it will require entering a pin number to override. Have had several instances of recording one and a half hours of "please insert PIN number" or of the Preview Channel. As I have previously purchased a DVD recorder I don't want/need My Sky. I also have a HDD Recorder so MySky is not a requirement (other than the appeal of dual tuners). Interestingly, when I got annoyed one evening with the Parental Control thing and rang Sky, their only advice was to have a technician come out and replace the decoder. Wouldn't it be nice if help desk personnel knew something about what they were supporting.
