526487 2007-05-23 11:18:00 Its not just expensive for the 8800's, its also waste of time with my cpu (bottleneck), not to mention AGP bus, only 1 gb ram and of course another PSU cause the 460TT wont be enough, so, I'll keep this until DX10 games are here and its worth a new system altogether:horrified Wow, the 8800 GTS 320MB did drop in price. There'll be DX 10 games coming out this year, Call of Juraz and Crysis.
AGP is seriouly slow, getting a whole new system is quite cheap now for around $2000.00 with a 8800 GTS 320MB in it. :DAMD got cheap dual core CPUs at the moment.

Not as cheap as Intel's chips are about to be.

526490 2007-05-24 01:28:00 Here are some more details

It might not make much difference to the end user, but a tiny instruction in Intel's upcoming SSE-4 instruction set included in the "Penryn" processor might be the first step on Intel's road toward enhancing its CPUs with graphics capabilities.

Much of the discussion of "Penryn" – Intel's first 45-nm CPU, probably due by the end of the year – here at the Microprocessor Forum rehashed announcements Intel has previously disclosed, such as the addition of a Deep Power Down state as well as the disclosure that it will contain new SSE-4 multimedia instructions.

One of those instructions, a "streaming load instruction," might be Intel's answer to the general-purpose GPU (GPGPU) proposals being put forth by AMD's ATI division as well as Nvidia, Intel executives said. AMD, meanwhile, has put forward a strategy to bring the graphics processor and general purpose CPU together by 2009, a strategy it calls "Fusion".

The instruction, part of Intel's new SSE-4 instruction set, gives special priority to graphics data, allowing it to bypass the normal CPU cache.

Put simply, Intel promises that the Penryn will be a dual-core family whose die will be a smaller 107 sq. mm, an additional 2 Mbytes L2 cache for a total of 6 Mbytes, 47 new SSE-4 instructions, enhance Dynamic Acceleration technology, and some additional microarchitectural enhancements for additional instructions per clock (IPC) performance. The Penryn family will also include quad-core products, whose cache sizes will measure about 12 Mbytes.

Intel described each of these technologies in March, although executives added a few more details on each.

526491 2007-05-24 06:16:00 Its not difficult to get roughly within 10m of where somebody lives by their IP address.

Seriously? How does this work?

Also: Almost all of my software and media is pirated.

I think they triangulate it through your ISP and nearest Phone exchange on the street.

526493 2007-05-24 07:32:00 So ISP co-operation, and disclosure of private information is required? In that case, I wouldn't consider this easily obtainable. roddy_boy (4115)
526494 2007-05-24 07:37:00 So ISP co-operation, and disclosure of private information is required? In that case, I wouldn't consider this easily obtainable. That maybe so, but if they have reason to believe that you are pirating software (OK, it would probably have to be a VERY large scale) then the police could get a warrant for your details from the ISP, they would already know your IP addess, all they have to do is go to the ISP and ask who was using that IP at that time and it will be on your account with your address The_End_Of_Reality (334)

That and a search warrant that the Police Tech unit in Dunedin would deliver to the ISP. The Police Tech Unit/Computer Forensics/CSI guys and girls are pretty good.

526496 2007-05-24 08:47:00 Sure you don't you are just saying that because there are 2 mods that have openly said they are tempted to ban you and you actually violated one of the rules by asking where to get a pirated copy of Vista

Yeah, all talk no action when it comes to spending money! you are fine for music and software etc cause you download it ILLEGALY:rolleyes: Hmm, I thought you guys thought I was a super dumb ass . And I think I'm a dumb ass too for not joining the pirates(What most people say (I mean those who are the pirate members)
Here's the article about cracked Vista (No links to pirated Vista anyway)

NoPE sure looks super smart . Mostly these hackers are living in the Eastern Europe .
 Damnit AMD, they screwed up the R600 series so badly, and by the time they fixed it it's too late . I mean the G80 is over and here comes the G90 . And I wanna see another rematched in 2008 . R700 Vs . G100 . Screw the AMD for not putting Ruby on the box, instead of using half-life 2 .

Yeah, July it's the time to get Intel CPU .

Once the hardwarezones is busy I don't think I'll have time to hang around in here anymore .
