| 526447 | 2007-05-20 20:49:00 | Mid range??? Most of that stuff is top end. You even have LEDs on your RAM - that is excessive.:horrified Top range? This is not even CrossFire X2950XTX I mean X2. The PSU 750W is just an entry level top range is about 1.2KW-1.5KW. :stare: Everyone is other world forums ranked this is an acceptable mid range PC. I can't enter the other forums with :2cents: PC. It looks bad to me, plus they're gonna laugh at it. Yeah, you bet, there's a video in youtube.com "My Future Computer" got laugh at so badly, because of crap PC. |

| 526449 | 2007-05-20 21:17:00 | 1ST point the X2950 is not even out and still will probably not be as good as the 8800GTX, all the hype over the R600 and so far it looks like crap and how long has the 8800 been out? 6 months if not over it. ATI is not all that great, over promise under deliver :2cents: 2ND: what 'other' forums? Overclockers? that would say it all... look at thier 'play' PCs... they have nothing better to spend their money on and change the hardware as often as they change thier underwear. :waughh: 3RD: you CAN NOT rank a PSU by the power rating... quality is a HUGE part, a lower power rating PSU from a quality manufacturer will be better than a cheap high rated PSU (who most likely uses extream to get the rating high ) |

| 526450 | 2007-05-21 07:21:00 | Hi my name is trinity4life and i'm new in this forum... Would you happen to know anything about computers and their functions? My computer doesn't come on and neither does the monitor. A co-worker told me that it could be the video card. I must unplug it in order for it to go off because when I press the on/off button it doesn't respond. Thank You Helen Helen start a new thread with your problem, only a few users check this thread and chances are they wont answer your query here. You'll need to provide much more infomation about your PC and problem, if you cant its probably a good idea to pay someone to fix it. Pedalslammer wouldn't owning a "low end" PC be better than owning no PC at all? You've been waffling on for months about your PC you intend to buy yet no action, you obviously have no idea what your talking about. You didn't happen to rush out a buy a Geforce 5800 when it was first release by any chance? |

But my PC is confirm to be a affordable mid-range which means most people should be able to afford it. Or go for no class PC like AMD 3800+, 500W PSU, etc. etc., that is seriously outta class in PC forums and even worst in overclockers forums. |

Didn't you heard about the news? Peryn? Or something like that? Tell me first then I'll tell you what's the real delay. Rig Project for Q3 2007: CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Price check (Delay for some reason which must remain until Q3) If I get it now, Im gonna waste $$$ which pulls down my budget for X2950XTX. HDD: Seagate 320GB SATA (I only use one first because I'm running low on money for X2950XTX.) Price for HDD is OK. Memory: 2GB kit (1GBx2), Ballistix Tracer 240-pin DIMM (with LEDs), DDR2 PC2-6400 memory module Price Check reasonable. Graphics: ATi X2950 XTX but cheap DX10 card in July. Price check for cheap DX10 card OK, but must upgrade it as soon as X2950XTX is available. MOBO: Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 "Bearlake" Price check OK. Monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 226BW 22" 1680x1050 2ms S Panel Price Check OK. DVD: Asustek DRW-1814BLT Serial-ATA DVD Writer Cheap and affordable. PSU: Silverstone Olympia OP750 750W Price look alright. Case: CoolerMaster Stacker RC-832 Price looks OK for now, but will the price be lower down by competitors? Software: Windows Vista Ultimate X64 Get it from the pirates. Well, why not have a look at those prices yourself. It should not be $4000 by Q3. |

Well how many times have you said this is what I am getting and never gotten it? answer THAT... What is the point in waiting? this seems to be what you are doing and you have no PC  And you think $4000 is mid range? pft answer this... who would spend $4000 on a PC? (Heck who would NEED to???) I seriously doubt that nearly everyone could afford that :yuck: It has to be said :xmouth:... a person with a PC as powerful as that has to be compensating for something  And you seem to be an ATI fanboy... Am I right? |
