731521 2008-12-21 20:49:00 What's the best app for burning Lightscribe labels, and are certain combinations of burner & disc better than others??

I'm pretty sure there was a thread on this earlier this year (was it Wainuitech?)

731522 2008-12-21 20:56:00 Why would you want Lightscribe?

It is just a gimmick :(

731523 2008-12-21 20:56:00 They all do the same thing.

And they'll all look the same. Since its only B&W not colour

731526 2008-12-21 23:30:00 I have an Asus LightScribe burner, very nice. Don't use lightscribe often as its not quick, but the results are always good. Looks much more professional than a label or print IMO. wratterus (105)

731528 2008-12-21 23:50:00 Umm, good question. One that came bundled with the drive. :D

It seems to be called lightscribe system software. :illogical

www.lightscribe.com

Edit /slap!

Silly me, that just for the options, contrast etc.

It's under extras in the bundled Nero software.

731529 2008-12-21 23:52:00 I used to use Nero cover designer. BUT I think I may use cdburner. Since its a lot smaller

I think this will do LS as well. All,you have to do, is install the Lightscribe program

Don't use it much though disks are painfully expensive compared with other printable disks and takes around 15mins.
IMO buy a printer that will print do printable disks would save you money in the long run and your sanity if you are impatient like myself.
