731292 2008-12-21 00:27:00 Hi Guys

I am just getting to grips with Vista.

Where is the Run option ?

I have looked all over

I want to run msconfig.exe

731293 2008-12-21 00:30:00 Press the Windows key if you have 1 +R

It doesnt have run, thats probably why you cant find it

Unless you tick it under properties. I think you need to read whats called the help file :p

731294 2008-12-21 00:39:00 I haven't got Vista so can't remember exactly where it is but *think* that it is there when you click on Start - an empty box to type in that has command line support. Type msconfig in that. FoxyMX (5)
731295 2008-12-21 00:45:00 Hi,

Iam not sure what version of vista you are using, but this should be the same .

I run vista 32-bit Home premium .

Click "Start"

At the bottom under "all programs" is a search box .

Type in "run" hit enter

This will bring up the run program, where you can type in "msconfig . exe"

also with the search box, you can type the program name and run it straight away .

Also the actually program is under accesories, so you could pin it to the start menu so it's just like how XP was set up . .

Hope that helps:)

Hope this helps

731296 2008-12-21 00:50:00 Right-click Start button, click Properties.

Click Start Menu tab, Customise.

Then scroll down to where it say's Run Command, tick it, then click OK twice.

Then it will be back on yor Start Menu like it was with XP :)

You can also type WinKey+R to bring up a Run box - and the Search box in the Start Menu also functions as a run box.
