| 730979 | 2008-12-19 09:29:00 | I have two items I wish to include (with menu) on a DVD. The first item is an ordinary video (with VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders), the second a slideshow made in ProShow Gold. I want these to play on a TV through an ordinary DVD player. I also want to select each item on a menu when it first starts up on the DVD player. My question is - which program do I use to make the menu, and use to burn these two programmes onto a disc. I already have the programmes compiled, and both with play on a DVD player. I initially thought this would be easy to do - now I can see pitfalls.:( :help: |

Edit- have a look at the guide - it says it does Edit 2 - if you get it you may need to right click the big download button / save as -- the links to the mirrors seem to go in circles. |

| 730982 | 2008-12-19 18:06:00 | I was going to suggest Nero- one of the earlier versions before 8.0, but that DVD Flick looks like it does the same thing, except in Nero you can sex up the menus a bit more...but it's only a menu right ! IMO if you choose to use software like DVD Flick it would be nice to throw a donation their way, keeps development going and a bit of competition for the big guys. | limepile (96) | ||

| 730984 | 2008-12-19 22:17:00 | Sorry for being dim/dumb, but I didn't manage to do anything! I tried to add the video file in DV Flick - that wouldn't happen . I can see the video in DVD Shrink ok . Looked at ProShow Gold - which said you could add a video clip (but I think they meant of the show you have been working with in their programme - not another video from somewhere else!) . :( |

The slide show is of still pics of the same event I took myself and made into a slideshow with music background . I would like to put the two items on a DVD for the people involved . I'm making sort-of progress - I've imported the video into ProShow Gold - but the aspect ratio is wrong . Tried to fix this, but so far no-go . :( |

This is not a fast process, the more power your PC has the faster it will convert - 3 hours to convert a DVD to . avi is not uncommon .
