| 1433837 | 2017-04-06 01:20:00 | My laptop is having problems booting up. If I just leave it to it's own devices it will not boot up but if I repeatedly press the F8 key it boots up eventually. I'd rather not have to do that so I was hoping that someone could tell me what's wrong and how to rectify the problem. Thank you. | Roscoe (6288) | ||
| 1433838 | 2017-04-06 02:10:00 | not enough info :) so could be hard drive intermittent fault or spin up fault bios not set to boot from HD bios trying to boot from a USB (default on many HP's (even servers), stupid HP) attatched device issue F8 could be bios level F8 or Win level F8. Both completely different so could be corrupt win & you going into safe mode boot device issue (see above) some other issue as F8 at POST point can do many different things, F8 different for many makes & models any errors onscreen if you dont hit F8 anything even on the screen perhaps some power save/hybernate issue . Is it win10 : turn off fast boot , turn off hybernate/powersave |
