1433210 2017-03-23 06:50:00 Well B.M. it may surprise you that I am quite impressed with Windows 10 in how rapidly it boots.

That's interesting Dave because I was too upon initial installation, but it turned to custard after the Anniversary Update.

But I'm not alone, so what makes you special? :D

You think I'm special? That's lovely. :D
As to the boot time, perhaps because I start with a clean install not an upgrade, and have
my system set up with the minimum I need?

1433213 2017-03-23 20:24:00 Mines always been fine and I've left everything on default settings. dugimodo (138)
1433214 2017-03-23 20:29:00 Fine here too. I did a clean install. Boots into windows in less than 10 secs. Only thing the AU stuffed up was printing/scanning. But managed to fix that

And the TPM 1.2 module I had, I had to replace it with a TPM 2 module. Since Win10 AU kills TPM 1.2 (it's not supported). And you cant boot when it's installed

It was a lousy day for Linux Mint, a popular Linux desktop distribution . Clement Lefebvre, head of Linux Mint, revealed that the Mint web site had been hacked .
Lefebvre wrote on Sunday, "Hackers made a modified Linux Mint ISO, with a backdoor in it, and managed to hack our website to point to it . "

google for issues about any OS & you'll find thousands of hits :)
it only proves no OS is perfect, never will be .

This morning I had to go & fix an issue re email not coming in since last year . :badpc:
Was it a Win issue ?, an Outlook issue ? . . . . . . . . . nope, I had to show her how to scroll up to see the newest email .
Some 'issues' just really arnt at all .

1433218 2017-03-25 05:24:00 Boot-out gives far longer lasting satisfaction than boot-up with Win 10%

1433219 2017-03-25 06:04:00 Fine here too. I did a clean install. Boots into windows in less than 10 secs. Got a customers PC here at the moment, it was slow to boot, BUT after cleaning out all the infections, (had avast - removing that increased the boot speed instantly) disabling the 20+ Items on startup it now boots from completely off to usable in 15 -20 seconds. Will get faster out of it, still have to tweak the settings mentioned many times and repair the OS the infections have caused. So the 10 seconds is defiantly achievable . wainuitech (129)
