2017-03-27 17:39:00 | I don't take Dimethyl sulfoxide Joe, but a closely related substance MSM en.wikipedia.org It seems to reduce the pain from osteoarthritis in my hip.

2017-03-27 18:20:00 | Are you taking it orally? Very interesting to find it is a supplement in some foods and drinks. For some arcane reason, I don't like to think it's in what I eat or drink without my knowledge and acceptance prior to ingestion. I'm glad it's working for you and the extensive lab rat tests seem to indicate it's pretty safe. (GRAS) Still don't like it in my ice cream though

2017-03-28 00:51:00 | I haven't got a MIL. Son could have, in fact I gave him a container full of the chopped stuff, he ate a chunk and said it was a mild variety. LOL. He's a chilli freak though. | pctek (84) | |
2017-03-28 01:09:00 | KD: "It seems to reduce the pain from osteoarthritis in my hip . " Not being nosy - but as we age we actually wear things out - like hips, knees, elbows, etc . , and I wonder if you're gonna tough it out and just take the MSM forever or option for a new hip? I'm looking at a hip replacement after a bit too - but mine was fractured many years ago and it is now raising it's head as I learn to walk correctly with a straight right leg . My left leg - because of my fractured pubis (1 . 5" offset) and the straightening of my right knee - have elevated my leg-length difference to almost 2 . 5" . The doc and I have a lot to talk over next Tuesday . However - I digress - are you a candidate for THR?

2017-03-28 07:02:00 | Eventually Joe, my mobility will reduce and the pain increase to the point that I may qualify for surgery. My left hip was replaced 10 years ago, now the right one is near failing, but our health system has been allowed to run down under the right wing government and such ops are tightly rationed, roll on a change of government later this year.
