| 1433188 | 2017-03-23 03:36:00 | Now come on guys play fair. This is an excellent chance for you faithful to explain to the doubters all the redeeming features of Windows 10. The internet is full of criticism of the product and it has taken a right bollocking, so promote your faith. Lets hear it from you, what are the features that offset the criticism? :) |

| 1433189 | 2017-03-23 04:20:00 | Well B.M. it may surprise you that I am quite impressed with Windows 10 in how rapidly it boots. That is one area where Linux Mint can't come close, this may not matter if you only boot up once a day, but typically I start my laptop 5-10 times a day, sometimes more. A rapid boot time reduces aggravation when going from job to job. I would just use Mint if the damn thing would suspend to R.A.M. without issues, but it will not. |

Interesting Dave and completely opposite to my experience and that of a multitude of others. Worth exploring on a separate thread as this is for the disciples. ;) |

This thread is for the Win 10 disciples to preach to the infidels why Win 10 is better than any other OSs including the predecessors. Nobody cares what you use. |

| 1433196 | 2017-03-23 20:28:00 | This thread is for the Win 10 disciples to preach to the infidels why Win 10 is better than any other OSs including the predecessors . I'd still be running Win95 if I could . No drivers for modern components :-( . Was a sad day when forced to upgrade due to lack of drivers Win95 + Office95 + blindingly fast on the 'slower' PC's Last year I was often using an 10year old laptop with XP, as it was just as fast as many new laptops (untill SSD became common) PC users just use what works . The OS is just a tool to run an appliance . Win10 works . Im staying on 7 at home, but have to admit, 10 does the job . Far from perfect but it works . On some slow machines, 10 is actually faster than 7 . Lets all go back to DOS . Back in those days, many saw Win3 as a thing to be ridiculed . When I was studying at Tech (ATI), there was a real loathing of Win3 . 1 , to the extent they wouldnt teach it or allow it on the PC's . |
