1434082 2017-04-11 22:36:00 I have used Irfanview for many, many years. Although I also have Lightroom and Photoshop Elements, I find that simply to view my photos taken on a shoot that it is the quickest, can then delete before using a more sophisticated program. However, I notice that the colours are quite a bit less vibrant on Irfanview. Why would this be please ? Misty (368)

because its freeware & not a Pro Tool.
I saw this on another forum, not sure if still true
"Irfanview converts all stuff to sRGB and do not honor display profile."

Have you calibrated the colors on your monitor/software ?

1434085 2017-04-12 21:15:00 I assume you've got the "Color Management" options enabled in IrfanView?

Options -> Properties/Settings -> Zoom / Color Management.
