| 1433869 | 2017-04-07 00:15:00 | Not being a Mac Guy :) Whats a recommended way to clone a Macbook Pro Hard drive Its runs like a pig, I wanted to try a SSD as that should make some difference. Whats the recommended software to clone a Mac HD ? any hints or tips ? use a bootable CD I presume ? and what malware scanner is best on a Mac, for a one off cleanup I tried Malwarebytes(mac version) , any others I can try ? cheers |

| 1433870 | 2017-04-07 02:47:00 | The free version of SuperDuper! works great: www.shirt-pocket.com Connect the new SSD by a USB-SATA adapter and run that software to copy the entire HDD to the SSD. That SSD will be bootable so nothing else needs to be done, just swap out with the HDD and away you go. Malwarebytes seems to be the best one we've found. |
