1433165 2017-03-22 19:55:00 I hear often in the news that someone has set up a FB page concerning their particular interest or a FB page dealing with a certain news event, and they say that with the conviction that anybody can see the named FB page, but I never see that on my FB page, so where are these FB pages and how does one see them? 1433166 2017-03-22 20:04:00 I imagine you could use the search functions in FB, but probably should have kept that to myself given I visit FB less than once a month and don't really have a clue. dugimodo (138)

They would have to provide a link to that FB page,or give the name of that FB page, otherwise the FB page is worthless .
Or they might link to it it their FB page, if famous they should have alot of hits on their original FB,twitter etc so people could then see links to that other new FB page.

No different to setting up a website. No one will ever come unless you tell them how to get to it.

So where does the link appear? I have not seen any link or anyone advertising their FB page on my FB page. So how do you know where to go?

Example PF1 has one under the login top right, Normally just the F symbol.

I got fed up with FB trying to get you to open an account to be able to see a "public" page without that pop up creeping up the page, so I did a bit of digging and was able to get rid of it.

Problem is I can't remember what I did :) I'm fairly sure disabling java script on FB was the trick.

Edit: just checked in about:config and javascript is enabled so I'm not sure what I did now, but that opaque window can be killed !

1433174 2017-03-23 04:23:00 Memory is failing, must try and get new RAM....I have YesScript addon for Firefox and it is set to block Javascript on Facebook. It stops the annoying pop ups that try to get you to sign up. Terry Porritt (14)
