| 1432726 | 2017-03-11 23:57:00 | My mobile phone contacts (local numbers) are stored as : 021 xxxxxxx or 022 xxxxxxx or 027 xxxxxx If I travel to overseas and would like to call my contacts with my handset, do I need to add +64 (followed by the phone number, or I can just select my contact and make the call? I know, I overseas contacts are stored as +(country code) followed by the number. Cheers. |

| 1432728 | 2017-03-12 00:42:00 | Yes - but remove the leading 0 from the local number. e.g. 6421xxxx 6422xxxxx (mobile) and 649xxxxxxx (AK) 644xxxxxxx (WN) etc. And you may as well store all numbers in your mobile in that format. If you're in NZ then the system will ignore the country code, but it's needed when you want to call home from faraway places. Essentially the leading zero says to the system "dial this number in the country I am in". Bon Voyage! | 1432730 | 2017-03-12 02:47:00 | In other words, I can edit all my local contacts and add the +64 in front of the number? Yep, so long as they're Mobiles. However, if you have any Landlines they require an area code. Safe Travel. |

| 1432733 | 2017-03-16 20:05:00 | Yes that is the way. So even if you get a simcard overseas you can just click dial. The + sign is internationally recognised. +62-21-1234567 it will just call your NZ 021 number with any simcard around the world. OTOH if you are internationally roaming, some years ago, if the number in your phonebook is just 021 1234567 it may work cos you are using a NZ simcard. |

SWMBO goes to UK occasionally and she uses her phone with a NZ simcard and does not dial 64 but just calls me as if she was in NZ. |
