1432509 2017-03-06 05:12:00 Hi Team

We've been doing a big clear out and selling a lot of items on TM.

I had 11 items on sale, most closing around 9pm to 9:30 last night. TM advised that a potential bidder had asked a question about an item of furniture I was selling and I saw that a bid at the reserve had been placed, so I closed the item I'd been checking and I was thinking 'great, another one bites the dust'! I then moved on to another item I was selling, but when I came back to the furniture item it had vanished completely from TM's site. It had simply ceased to exist.

I could understand that if I were a scammer or it was in breach ot TM's terms & conditions, but I'm baffled as to why it disappeared.

I've relisted it today, and so far so good, but has anybody else had an item simply disappear like that, especially when a bid was placed at the reserve, and close to closing?

Cheers

1432510 2017-03-06 06:08:00 Someone has complained at the listing, it maybe a cellphone number being displayed. prefect (6291)
1432511 2017-03-06 08:07:00 If TradeMe took it down they should have sent you an email. Or at least, that's what happened the one time it happened to me.

Or perhaps it was a glitch in the database. I've seen a few weird things happen before. Like an auction which stayed at "closing" for several hours.

1432512 2017-03-07 07:56:00 No. There were no phone numbers of any description, cellphone or otherwise, in fact no shonky work in the diggings at all, and the item was simply a desk suitable for a student.

TM hasn't contacted me either, so last night I rewrote the ad, loaded much the same info, put up the same photos and started again.

Sad thing is that I had a good prospective bidder/buyer and was going to offer a 'massaged' deal but it never saw my keyboard.

I blame Trump, he was going mental at about that time and maybe he wanted to buy it for himself!

Cheers

1432513 2017-03-07 18:36:00 I decided to sell a dead bird.
Trademe cancelled the listing just as I had a query for buy now.

Apparently as a NZ dead bird, it's not allowed.

So a friend put it on her facebook for me.
Stayed there for ages, then a guy was asking about it, just as Facebook cancelled it and told her no dead birds allowed.

Geez. The bird has been dead for about 50 years, it was found dead not shot or anything.
