732354 2008-12-25 11:05:00 Merry Christmas to all! I just got an EEE with XP and installed avast, but want to disable all its processes from startup.....anyone know which processes to disable from msconfig?

Thanks to all...

No point in having it

732358 2008-12-25 22:27:00 You see I do not need an on-time antivirus, neither do I need it to be there when the computer starts. I only need to do a scan every month in order to check for virus infections. I know it might sound stupid, but I have done this with AVG for a while and had no problems... zahmad (8963)

Well, its not like AVG detects anything even if it does scan the computer. But good luck and see you soon with a HJT log :p
