| 732040 | 2008-12-23 13:45:00 | Hello Wise Friends, I have gotten a nice Toshiba Satellite p305-S8832 with a 4000mAh Lithium Ion battery pack that usually lasts 2.5 hours. My question has to do with the fact that the most of the time I use my lap top as Desktop replacement at home and plugged to an UPS. I removed the battery. What would be the best way to keep my battery in good shape, should I simply store it with some little charge?, should I use it normally once in a while? I know that Toshiba laptops have not smart charging system and the battery might be damaged if it is overcharged. I will appreciate your so kind and wise advice. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to each and every one of you. |

If they didn't, there would be many go up in violent flames . They are darned dangerous things hence the tight control necessary . You should get Toshiba's recommendation but partial charge and occasional recharge would likely be fine . Don't forget the power of Google! |
