731841 2008-12-22 19:20:00 Hi all,

QB and Vista dont play together too well and even though 2008 is Vista in disguise, I was wondering if anyone has got ANY of the QB versions working on 2008, Vista versions included.

I quite like server 2008 RDP app delivery and want to get these and other MYOB versions delivered as icons to the user desktops...

There was supposed to be a program that you could install which in turn allowed non-compatible applications to run in 2008, does anyone know about this?

I haven't had too much to do with 2008 yet so I can't help sorry
I really do need to build a new machine and try out Server 2008 and SBS2008 and EBS2008. That MAP is just sitting there not doing a lot ATM.

731844 2008-12-22 22:38:00 Yes, the joys of Virtual Infrastructure, I don't need to worry about new servers for development...hehe..

Last day at work here too....but not much to do, so thought I'd have a play!

731845 2008-12-22 22:39:00 There is a program around for Server 2008, that lets you enable services / sound etc. Like a tweaking progam.

It also has options (I think) in it to disable IE 7's higher security.

So, it doesnt annoy you

So, it acts more like Vista. And so, you can actually run it as if it were Vista

This what your talking about Sol?

731846 2008-12-22 22:41:00 Hi SG, no mate, I am looking to use server 2008 as a TS for applications, like 2003, only you dont need to give the user a desktop connection onto the server, just a small app package which then creates an RDP connection for the application... SolMiester (139)
731847 2008-12-23 00:18:00 Does QB even support a TS environment? CYaBro (73)

Oh (not officially supported), but, I have all versions from 7.5 to 07/08 running on a 2003 TS
