731672 2008-12-22 02:07:00 Does anyone have an .ini file for a really stripped-down XP Pro that they'd be willing to share??

I'm looking to use this as the OS for my HTPC, and I want something that loads ASAP, and only has the bare necessities for file sharing, the odd windows update, USB connections etc??

I'm still keen to fiddle around and do it myself, but it's a very time-consuming process!!! :D 		nofam (9009)

I could give you mine, but I havent removed much

Besides the games, Netmeeting, Windows Messenger

And all languages besides English. I suppose I could kill IIS, since I dont use it, and have no need for it

Then slipstreamed all updates till now, inc WMP 11, and IE 7. And net framework 1, 2 3 and 3.5

I wouldnt remove too much, it probably wont go / work if you get too carried away
