528905 2007-03-01 09:02:00 YouTube had a few other clips there as well. Kind of like meeting old friends again. NOT wasted time. ;) R2x1 (4628)
528906 2007-03-01 15:57:00 John Cleese is probably one of the most recognized personalities in the US . . . he runs all sorts of commercials for us here .

He currently has a Campbell's Soup set running .

Benny Hill, on the other hand, although recognizable, was not a well-liked person on US television . . . just too crass and nasty for most Americans .

Paul Hogan has become a US native by immersion in movies (flicks? NZ?) here . . . and has gained automatic citizenship .

No-one in the US has any idea who the King and Queen of NZ are however . . . we never see them . Do they ever pose for photo-ops or go out in public?

Pretty sure we have seen a court jester once in a while though .

528907 2007-03-01 20:44:00 Usually our royalty are seen in groups, wearing black and holding a trophy in the air. (If they fail to lift the trophy, they are often deposed pdq.) R2x1 (4628)

My apologies for the moronic choice of music, Best turned down unless you wish to be offended.

wait, a clean version is found

www.youtube.com

The song choice is still moronic, but the swearing is gone.

528910 2007-03-06 05:39:00 That's the royal family alright. Well, some of them. There's also the Silver Ferns, who have been known to score a point or two. R2x1 (4628)

Wow . . . I've never seen that game ( . youtube . com/watch?v=JbEnoEr2GnI" target="_blank">www . youtube . com) played before .

Looks like they need a little more money allocated for safety devices like helmets and shin guards . Longer pants would be good too .

The ball looks pretty big though . . . makes it hard to conceal while one is running with it . Are those velcro strips on it to make it easier to hold?

Is there any incidental physical injury or damage to the persons playing this game? . . . . seems there'd be a lot of lawsuits for damages and loss of income at their daytime jobs here .

Maybe youse guys should let the rest of the world know about this game . It has potential to draw some large money if it gets publicized correctly . I see you already have sponsorship, "Canon" . . . but how do they allow WMDs and sportsmanship to co-exist on the playing field?

Do you have a lot of convalescent hospitals for the injured players? How many players are left at the end of the game? Do they play until there's only one player left?

This sport may be the reason for the slow population growth factor in NZ . . . you take out all the stud-ly males and there's no-one left to provide DNA for the next generation .

For balance, both politically and morally, women players should be on the field too . Now . . THAT would be a game!
