| 529375 | 2007-03-05 04:12:00 | For someone who was the "ringleader" in the sordid trio of feral Hyena's,I would think that the only suitable job for this person now is sewage treatment farm worker. | Utopia (7787) | ||
| 529376 | 2007-03-05 04:46:00 | You've taken your family away for a weekend out of town. ....out in the wops.....it's 2am. Kids are asleep, the love-of-your life is lying beside you ...all is good in the world. You see a torchbeam outside in the bushes....three dodgy-looking fellas...yours is the only house around for miles. Your family are about 5 mins away from God-only-knows-what! You call the police. Clint Rickard turns up. I assume most of you will say "Nope. You had consensual sex 20 years ago. Go away!" Correct? Because Rickards is now incapable of doing his job, a job he has a huge amount of experience in. Experience that we should deprive from others because, unless I've missed something in the media, he had CONSENSUAL sex with someone. Yeah, right. The guy is built like a brick ....-house! If I need a cop to protect my family, I want him to turn up! |

| 529382 | 2007-03-05 08:39:00 | Different scenario - Your teenage daughter is drinking with big burly local cops - much older than her. Group sex is proposed. It happens. (This is the one he admitted to) Do you decide that your daughter really had "consensual" sex? Or were the odds loaded against her making a truly free choice? Hardly an equal argument, eh? Even if she did agree ( but later denied) young girls shouldn't be pressurised by any older men en masse - let alone cops. These women were all kids - presumably chosen beause they'd be too scared to complain, thinking nobody would believe them. Clint Rickards wasn't the worst - but certainly old enough to know better. Sure, he may be a great cop in some respects. But he's still a sleazebag. So give him a job where he's not expected to typify the morals of the two & a half thousand others in the Auckland police district... |

| 529384 | 2007-03-05 12:25:00 | And he wouldn't have got to where he is without a certain level of competence. My :2cents: Feel free to pull it to shreds! :D He may have been a very competent **se kisser. The trouble with our court system is that it is not actually geared around finding out the truth. It is more like a comptetive debate. You just need to look at the number of people who have got off because of a miss step in the process when they have obviously been guilty. I don't believe he can now hold the top Auckland job. |
