Here Ticketek does bookings for some locally-produced plays & concerts whose prices are far lower than international acts. So their fee may be a proportionally big chunk of the ticket price. But that kind of field may be too small for Ticketmaster to want to enter..? Yes they should get a markup, but their current markups are basically market abuse, abusing their monopoly. Trademe should get into the ticketing game. They have contact with much of NZs online community, and they could also auction high demand tickets themselves through their auction site. |
