528704 2007-02-27 14:44:00 As if it's not bad enough that M$ wants to keep people from hacking their system, and that could be a whole 'nother subject, there's been a lot of talk about crippling or "disadvantaging" someone's system if WGA even suspects foul things afoot in your OPSYS .

Some of the arguments have been forceful, to say the least, others a "wait-n-see" attitude is all they say .

Well, there are basically three roads to perdition with WGA, and here's another article on just that . ( . pcdoctor-guide . com/wordpress/?p=4030" target="_blank">www . pcdoctor-guide . com)

And, YES, I know this article is about Vista and gamers and gaming, but we are all affected by things that go bump in the systems of others for good or bad . It's the "72-hour" slow death that I am talking of here .

See what youse guys think .

528706 2007-02-28 09:54:00 What is the problem? It works fine for MS, it is only the users who get shafted. Presumably MS can rationalise this by considering that anyone using Vista is pretty contemptible. They should remember that another, earlier, bunch of contemptibles kicked a bit of butt eventually.
I know we should charitably assume that Microsoft are doing this out of ignorance rather than malice, but WOW, that assumes a LOT of ignorance. Oh yeah, it's MS, probably true in that case
