| 528442 | 2007-02-26 23:08:00 | my question is referring to this page here: adwords.google.com It say the minimum amount is $20 for prepay only. So does this mean if i buy a prezzy card, and load my adwords account,i have to load at least $20.Then because it costs $10 for an activation fee, will I have $10 left? And is the maximum topup for a new user a $50 credit limit? And when u don't want to serve ads anymore, how do u Stop adwords from running? And to get your adwords ads ranked high in google, does anyone know the Cost per click I'd need to have? Like they say you can start at $0.01cent,but i'm assuming if you want to be top of google u'll need more than that? And can you choose whether u want CPC or CPM? And does anyone know a paid service, where u can buy banner ads from sites for a flat rate fee? |

| 528444 | 2007-02-27 01:05:00 | ok,hey regarding CPM(cost per 1000 impressions),it says it costs .30cents per CPM,so for $7.20 would i get 24000 impressions? Is impressions just when people view your ad,but not click on it? |

Is impressions just when people view your ad,but not click on it? You only pay when someone clicks, not on how many impressions you get. Unless we know what you are advertising we can't really help you, as the cost per click could range from a few cents, to 50cents, up to a few dollars. It depends on your competition and how much they are willing to pay for their ads. You would need to ask google most of your questions as they are the company that you are paying for teh service, and they would know the real answers. |

| 528446 | 2007-02-27 02:13:00 | The cost per click varies from a few cents to a few dollars generally, but can go significantly higher. It depends on your industry and how many people are competing for placement on the same keywords. | maccrazy (6741) | ||

If u have asb,can u just send an electronic cheque or do u actually have to go into a bank and transfer the money into google's bank account from there? | lance4k (4644) | ||

It depends on your industry and how many people are competing for placement on the same keywords. There is a website that has the approximate price per click that people can expect to get if they display adwords on their website. Finance keywords cost more, while entertainment keywords are less. I can't however remember what the website is. |

| 528449 | 2007-02-28 09:21:00 | Hi Lance Are they no longer offering the choice of using a credit card? I just get all the charges charged directly on to my credit card. As others have said, the cost per click varies but, from experience, you need to set up a lot of negative keywords to hone the search to pre-qualify the people you want to pay for to visit your website. For example, using -free as a negative keyword (and derivates of that) is a good way to weed out the freeloaders if you are offering a fee-based service. Andrew |
